CCTV News: Recently, the "Jingwei Navigation" rotary geological guidance system independently developed by Chinese enterprises has completed the achievement appraisal, and the system has successfully solved the technical problem of the "bottleneck" of rotary guidance. The overall system has reached the international advanced level, with the measurement accuracy of the guiding head tool surface and the directional resistivity measurement accuracy reaching the international leading level.
The rotating geological guidance system is the most cutting-edge and high-end technology in the field of petroleum engineering. With the increasing difficulty of exploration and development, it plays an irreplaceable role in achieving geological goals and reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Its research and manufacturing process involves cutting-edge technologies in more than ten fields such as machinery, electronics, software, geology, etc., and is known as the "pearl on the crown" of petroleum engineering technology. For a long time, this technology has seriously affected the efficient development of oil and gas fields in China. After 20 years of arduous research and development, the scientific research team has completed the manufacturing, finalization, and upgrade iterations of nearly 6000 electronic components and 31 underground measurement and control program firmware, breaking through 9 core technologies, forming 4 innovative achievements and 4 innovative points. It has multiple characteristics such as high reliability, wide adaptability, multi parameter measurement, complementary measurement and recording, precise trajectory control, independent controllability, and obvious cost advantages, and effectively promotes technological upgrades in domestic electronic manufacturing, high-end mechanical manufacturing, software engineering, and other fields.
Fan Zexin, R&D engineer of the rotary geological guidance project at Sinopec Jingwei Co., Ltd., stated that the rotary geological guidance system has unique advantages for difficult to use oil reservoirs such as Southwest shale gas and Shengli shale oil in China. It can enable drill bits to accurately pass through thin oil reservoirs, improve the drilling encounter rate of reservoirs, and add a new technological tool to exploration and development.
It is reported that the localization rate of the "latitude longitude navigation" rotary geological guidance system has reached over 94%, and it can withstand high temperature, high pressure, and high vibration of 165 degrees Celsius, 140 megapascals, and 20 times the gravity acceleration underground. At present, the system has been applied in 65 wells such as Sichuan Chongqing shale gas, Shengli Jiyang shale oil, offshore oil and land production in Bohai Bay, and complex structural wells in the east, with a cumulative working time of 5651 hours, a footage of 40300 meters, an average shortened well construction period of 4.8 days, and a reservoir drilling encounter rate of 96%. It has effectively supported exploration and development, promoted the localization and industrialization of high-end equipment, ensured the independent and controllable key core technologies in the field of petroleum engineering, and added strength to ensure national energy security and achieve high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.
